Based on the specifications table that we got, the Radeon HD 8870 will use the chip GPU and HD8850 XT Oland Oland Pro will use. Oland GPU chips to be produced with a 28 nm fabrication process by as much as 3.4 billion transistor count and die wide by 270 mm2. An increase of approximately 21% and 27% the number of transistors on a chip wide GPU.

Radeon HD 8870 GPU comes clocked at 1050 MHz to 1100 MHz for PowerTune Boost. While the HD 8850 has a GPU clock of 925 MHz to 975 MHz for PowerTune Boost. Two graphics card has a memory clock of 6GHz with a memory bandwidth of 256-bits.

Quite unfortunate that included specification does not specify how many Stream Processor, Texture Units, and ROP Units on the GPU chip and Oland Oland XT Pro. However, there is one interesting thing that we get from our news sources. HD 8870 will have a performance like the GeForce GTX 680 and HD 8850 as the GTX 670. Is that so? Well see.

If the performance of the HD 8870 and HD 8850 as it is, the selling price of the graphics card will be really interesting. HD 8870 is expected to be sold at a price of $ 249 and the HD 8850 at $ 199 (MSRP online). Price also revealed seems AMD still keep their secret weapon in the high-end class. Radeon HD 8900 series-kah? HD 8870 and HD 8850 is expected to be launched in January 2013. Can not wait? We were too. Especially if performance and price are true.
